Gridbox ProTerms
These terms are between you and Wright Builds LLC, the maker of Gridbox Pro. By downloading, using or buying Gridbox Pro, you agree to them.
Free to download and design
You can download Gridbox Pro and use every design tool for free, with no time limit and no account. The 1:1 paper template is free too. Exporting files needs a license: 3MF and STL files, Bambu Studio projects, ShadowFit test pieces, SnapSplit pieces, color plates, label cards and .gridboxpro project files.
Your license
- A license is a one-time purchase. You pay the price shown at checkout, and there's no subscription.
- It gives you a personal license to use Gridbox Pro and export files. It isn't transferable.
- Activate it on computers you use yourself. Activations are limited so a license can't be shared, and you can release a computer in Settings to move your license to a new one.
Selling what you print
The Personal license covers your own drawers, projects and gifts. To sell prints made with Gridbox Pro, buy the Commercial license ($300), which includes everything in the Personal license and gives you written permission to sell those prints. The Commercial license also unlocks SVG and DXF cut files and foam sheet layers for a laser or CNC, and a license bought before cut files moved to Commercial keeps them. If you already have the Personal license, you can upgrade by paying the difference.
Updates
Your purchase includes a year of updates from the day you buy. After that year, the version you have keeps working, exports included.
Your designs
What you make in Gridbox Pro is yours: your designs, your project files and the files you export. Anyone you send a project file to can open it in the free app.
What you agree not to do
- Share, sell or post your license key.
- Get around the license check, or help someone else do it.
- Copy, resell or redistribute the app itself.
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
Other people's names and work
Gridfinity was created by Zack Freedman (Voidstar Lab). Gridbox Pro produces Gridfinity-compatible designs and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Zack Freedman. Printer names such as Bambu Lab, Prusa and Creality belong to their owners. The open-source parts of the app are listed under About and credits in Settings, with their licenses.
Your prints
Gridbox Pro gives you files, and your printer, settings and filament make the print. Check the fit with a ShadowFit test piece or the paper template before a long print. We aren't responsible for failed prints, wasted filament or damage to your printer or tools.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Gridbox Pro is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, and our total liability for anything related to it is limited to what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending
You can stop using Gridbox Pro at any time. If you break these terms, we can turn off your license.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. A change never takes away a license you already bought.
